Stories related to the horrific events that happened to those who entered this fort after sunset are also very popular. You will be very surprised to know that the permission to enter the Bhangarh fort from sunset to sunrise is officially prohibited. The stories of this fort reached me also through traveler friends, newspapers, and books. Even after wishing, the fortification of the views of this fort was not available. And incidentally, during my visit to Jaipur, I came to see Bhangarh.

Bhangarh Fort - India's most haunted and scary place

At the time of my last visit to Jaipur, on a dinner, we were discussing the fixed moon step for the next day. Then fellow travelers started discussing Bhangarh fort. Its mesmerizing stories and stories have played its magic and Bhangarh fort has decided its place in our next day's schedule. Not only did he visit Chand Bawdi the next day, but also inspected the fort of Bhangarh at the time of his return from there.

Horror legends of Bhangarh fort

There are mainly two legends about this battered, desolate, desolate, and haunted fort.

According to the first legend, once upon this hill, an ascetic Baba Balanath lived. He permitted Raja Madho Singh to build a fort on this hill in one stage. That is, the shadow of any part of the palace should not fall on them or their hut. Otherwise, that palace will be razed. But after the death of King Madho Singh, his grandson Ajab Singh built the fort so high that the rays of the sun could not reach the ascetic's hut. As soon as the shadow of the citadel fell on him, the ascetic took the whole kingdom by the curse. And the Bhangarh fort was converted into a haunted palace.

Regarding the second legend of this fort, read the following in 'History of Bhangarh Fort'.

History of Bhangarh Fort

Bhangarh Fort is located at one end of Sariska National Park in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. This fort was built by Raja Bhagwant Das of Amer in 1583 for his second son Madho Singh. His first son, Mansingh, was the Chief of Army Staff in the Navratnas of the court of Mughal Emperor Akbar. After Madhosingh, his second son Chhatra Singh ruled Bhangarh, under whose reign Bhangarh began to decline. In other places in India, during the reign of Aurangzeb, Princess Ratnavati was responsible for the charge of Bhangarh. The princess was Apoorva Sundari and her swayamvar was ready. The princess was also proficient in tantra-mantra lore and was capable of performing black magic.

Prince Singh of the neighboring state of Ajabgarh was a popular tantric. He deeply loved the princess and wanted to get her against the will of the princess. So he made the princess get the fragrance oil of the princess who came to the market to buy perfume, to get it by tantra lore. As soon as its sounding, the princess dropped the oil on a rock and rolled the rock towards the tantric. As a result, the tantric died. But before death Tantric Singhia cursed Bhangarh city and princess to perish. It is believed that the destruction of Bhangarh resulted from the same curse. Book a Taxi in Bhangarh Fort at an affordable price with JCR CAB.

Visitation of Bhangarh Fort

Sunflower flower fields were spread on both sides of the washed-out road leading to Bhangarh fort. After a few moments, this road took us among the lush green hills of Aravali. On the Aravalli hill, surrounded by trees, suddenly my eyesight stopped at a single grand mandap which was peeping out from the trees on our right. This pavilion built outside the boundary wall of Bhangarh fort is actually the tomb of the one who cursed Bhangarh fort. Going forward, we parked our car on one side and reached the entrance of the fort, in front of the corn sellers. In the first view, this fort seems like a common structure spread across India. Got into thinking why its relation has been linked to horrific stories.

The map of Bhangarh fort was inscribed on a stone information board at the entrance itself. It is known from this map that Bhangarh was an organized and well-planned city. According to this, housing houses, Havelis, temples, habits, and finally palaces were built at designated places in the city. The joy and convenience of living in such a planned city would have been incomparable.

The Jehri Bazar shops are well-organized in a well-organized manner. Even after being built amidst the desert, Bhangarh fort and Bhangarh city are full of greenery.
